Berthe Fraser - the French WW2 resistance heroine

on 7 December we posted an article on this website about Berthe Fraser the WW2 French resistance heroine who was buried in the village of Behagnies only a few miles from the Butte.

Bob took the opportunity to visit her grave this week to pay his respects. The picture of her grave is shown.

Berthe received many medals for her activities which were ultimately purchased by the Imperial War Museum in 1990 for the not insubstantial sum of £28,500.
