Serious wear and tear to the track past the Butte

27 December 2022

We are well used to farm machinery passing the Butte on the main access track to it. At times, the track can take a bit of a hammering but in all our recent years we have never seen it in such a state in some places at the top past the Butte.

For the first time ever this year we saw 40-foot articulated lorries using the track at harvest time. The picture shows the result. Time repairs everything but this current state is going to take some repairing.

In summer the track can be used by cars as ultimately it comes out at Eaucourt l'Abbaye on the road to Factory Corner.
